I got my first French bulldog, Olivia in 1998.  My mom and I searched long and hard to and find a small dog that would be tough enough to live with my big dogs (a Bullmastiff and a German shephard), and small enough to easily travel and be a good lapdog, the Frenchie was a top choice.  With further research we found someone who had French Bulldogs close to us, and off we went.  Once we got Olivia home, I knew we had found the perfect fit and more.  I had never had so much fun and laughed so much at a dog in my life.  We enjoyed life with Olivia, learning about all of the aspects of living with a French Bulldog; the snoring, grunting and farting!  These are all part of the charm of a Frenchie.

After I showed Olivia a little, we decided that this was not her cup of tea and thought she might like to a few babies.  After much discussion with Jean Blair-Robertson, it was decided that we would breed Olivia to Ch Cox's Goodtime Bad LeRoy Brown.  The result of that litter was our beautiful Ch Ruchi's Secret Garden, "Secret".

Secret is a wonderful girl and I have had a great time with her.  She did great  in the show ring!  She finished in six shows with a five point major!  And that was with me showing her everytime!!!  She loved her short show career and has made it hard for the next one in line to be shown.  She was always "on" in the ring and showed her heart out!  She is now enjoying life at home bossing EVERYONE around!  She has also enjoyed raising her babies.  Check out her page to see pictures of kids from her past litters.

Before I go to much further, I need to mentioned that I had gotten married and dragged my poor husband into the dog world.  He had no idea what  was in store for him.  An example is the time I went to Florida to visit my mom, met a guy and brought him back to Missouri with me.  Would you like to meet him?

When Topper came to Missouri, he fit right in.  His sweet temperment and easy going attitude endeared him to everyone here, especailly the girls!!  So when it came time for Secret to have her first litter, Topper was willing and able to help out.  You can see photos of those beautiful kids from Secret's or Topper's page!  He did such an excellent job the first time, he agreed to do it a second time.  Once again, beautiful babies!!!  From this second litter, I was hopelessly drawn to this little guy...can you guess which one he is?  His name is CurlyHow could I resist?

During this time of having puppies and watching them start their new lives, I have felt a strong draw to be involved in helping Frenchies who might not have had the best life.  For one reason or another, they have found themselves in a place where their owners can no longer have them, or have been found in shelters or roaming the streets.  Alot of these guys have medical issues that need experienced help.  I joined the French Bulldog Rescue Network in 2001.  I am currently a state contact for Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas.

Well, that is my story up to my current puppies, which you have aready seen photos of.  If you have any questions for me, feel free to contact me.
